2020 Geopolitics

What can we expect in international relations in the coming decade? If history is any guide, we can use geopolitics (location, resources, culture, language, and relevant histories) to give us some insights. We will apply our understandings to the empires, semi-empires, and would-be empires now straddling the world and try to estimate where the world is heading … in a handbasket or otherwise. Primary players will include, in subsequent weeks, the United States, China, Russia, Europe, the Middle East, and other challengers and rising states. With 20/20 foresight, there might even be some startling predictions.
