OLLI Talks: Travel Smarter with Digital Tools: Trip Planning (DRAKE HALL)
OSHR 3390The best travel experiences often go beyond the first page of search results. In this session, participants will explore digital tools for more personalized trip planning, helping them discover local perspectives, sustainable experiences, and lesser-known destinations before departure. Participants will learn how to build custom maps using Google My Maps, organize points of interest, connect with local social media accounts and online communities, and identify guides and tours that offer alternatives to standard itineraries. The course also covers ways to compare transportation options between destinations. Each participant will leave with a custom map for a current or planned trip.
Required Supplies: Please bring a fully charged laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
