OLLI Experience: Pausing for Presence: Mindfulness Meditation Retreat (Primrose Studio)
OSHR 1029"The times are urgent, let us slow down,” wrote Nigerian activist Bayo Akomolafe. While these words may strike a chord for many of us, it can be difficult to pause long enough to experience our moments and our lives fully. Join Sue Schneider at Primrose Studio in Fort Collins for a day-long mindfulness meditation retreat where you will experience the benefits of cultivating deep presence and bringing greater awareness and compassion to your inner world. Participants will receive meditation instruction, and the retreat will feature a range of practices, including sitting, walking, and nature-based meditation (weather permitting). This retreat is open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to meditation or an experienced practitioner.
This retreat is being offered in collaboration with Day Away Retreats, which strives to blend meditation, nature, and mindful community to create space for presence, clarity, and renewal. Registration includes a catered lunch.
Sue Schneider, Ph.D., is a medical anthropologist, integrative health coach, and certified mindfulness instructor. She currently directs CSU Extension’s Health and Well-being Unit and supports community health initiatives across Colorado as an Extension Professor and State Health Specialist with CSU’s Office of Engagement and Extension.
