The Fundamentals of Yoga, Mind, Breath, and Movement (Studio West Dance Center)
OSHR 9076This course offers an accessible and enriching introduction to the fundamentals of yoga through gentle movement, mindful breathwork, and timeless philosophy. Each week, participants will explore a new breathing technique and a core yogic principle while learning safe, adaptable postures suitable for all mobility levels. Emphasizing self-awareness, balance, and relaxation, this class invites students to connect body, mind, and breath in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Discussions on topics such as mindfulness, compassion, and presence will deepen understanding of yoga as a holistic practice for physical and emotional well-being. Whether you are new to yoga or revisiting the basics, you’ll gain practical tools to enhance your strength, flexibility, and inner calm—both on and off the mat.
Required equipment: a yoga mat.

*Caroline Denison is a certified yoga instructor specializing in adaptive and private yoga for adults of all ages. She has guided group and individual yoga sessions that emphasize alignment, mindfulness, and accessibility. Caroline brings a warm, engaging teaching style that encourages students to listen to their bodies and explore yoga as a personal journey of growth and wellbeing.
