*Susan Atkinson is an award-winning architect and professor of Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. She is an avid trail runner and backcountry first responder who has backpacked around the world studying landscapes, culture, and design. Susan grew up at the doorstep of Glacier National Park in the Flathead Valley, learning about birds and wildflowers and spotting grizzly bears. She began leading nature tours to share her passion for the rocky trails of National Parks in Colorado and Montana. Each summer, Susan is a glacier guide, conservation educator, and group leader with Road Scholar in Waterton Lakes and Glacier National Park.
