Beginner Level ESSENTRICS® Aging Backwards (Studio West Dance Center)
OSHR 9004This class is for those who are new to ESSENTRICS® or who would like to revisit the basics. Participants will experience an easy-to-follow workout that improves flexibility, balance, and energy while helping to relieve pain and stimulate the brain. Based on the dynamic full-body stretch and strengthening program created by Miranda Esmonde-White, author of the New York Times bestseller Aging Backwards, each class begins with a 10-minute discussion of the science behind ESSENTRICS®, followed by a 45-minute workout set to music that supports the benefits of movement.

Terry Nolan has been teaching ESSENTRICS® since 2013. Impressed by its intelligence and benefits, she completed the program's highest level of certification and currently participates in advanced training focused on optimizing the therapeutic benefits that music adds to exercise. Her teaching style is mindful and fun as she leads participants through a full rebalancing of their muscles and joints. OLLI members who do so much to keep their minds active will love this fitness program that so brilliantly does the same for their bodies.
