Dr. Seuss Books for Obsolete Children: Life, Lessons, and Controversy (Drake Hall)
OSHR 4028Celebrated cartoonist Theodore SEUSS Geisel (1904-1991) wrote and drew not only for children but for adults (or obsolete children as he called them). He had strong opinions about serious matters and authored books using cartoon illustrations that considered the "cold war," ecology and the environment, life and aging, and love and devotion. His cartoon sometimes pushed the politically correct limits and led to efforts to cancel, ban, and even burn his books. Lectures review Dr. Seuss's life, loves, awards, and controversies.
