An Introduction and Preview of the 2020 U.S. General Election

This course is a precursor to two more extensive courses in Spring and Fall 2020 that will deal with the primary process and the presidential election. You will learn party nominating rules, analyze various strategies, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the various candidates. In addition, you will learn why the pre-nomination process is so important and what it means for the candidates, their parties, and the nomination process itself. The class stresses understanding the processes in a nonpartisan manner.
